Thursday, the Chappells, the Holmes and us decided that we would walk to Puruchuco Plaza to go do some shopping. We were picking up snacks for our trip that we were taking on Saturday. We walked and walked and walked. As we walked there were a lot of pedestrians, and then we were the only ones, walking. Good thing there were 6 of us. We were brave and continued walking and then all of a sudden as we turned to go towards the mall there is a big huge market across the street, and businesses on both sides of the street, and lots of people! We saw the mall that we were going to and went in so happy that we were finally there. IT WAS A LOT OF WALKING!
We had our little shopping carts so we were ready to go get our groceries. We decided to do that last and instead went and walked around and shopped. Our shopping carts were full of stuff that we had purchased so instead of getting snacks we got dinner. This mall is 3 floors and the eating area is on the 3 floor. We all split up and went to get the food that we wanted. Popeyes, Burger King and ice cream. When Elder Holmes came back with his meal from Burger King. He was holding 2 Burger King bags and told us that he had learned 2 new words. The first one was “tres” and “si”. Apparently, he kept saying “si” to them and he ended up with 3 apple pies. We were laughing so hard. He is learning Spanish and said he didn’t understand what they were asking him and he kept saying “si”.
